- Ellis Windmill in Lincoln.. & many more!
- Cogglesford Watermill in Sleaford
And there’s even more! Lincolnshire is a great place for windpower!
Visiting one of these working windmills is a must! And buying some of the super stoneground flour is a must!
And don’t forget the Watermills too! Cogglesford Mill in Sleaford is well worth a visit. Dating back to Saxon times, it is thought to be the only Sherriff’s watermill still in operation in England. Although the present Mill was mainly built in the early 18th Century, millers have produced flour on this site for over 1,000 years. You can watch the Mill in operation on special event days, producing organic wholemeal flour as it would have been 200 years ago. Programme of special events. There are other watermills in Lincolnshire, but are none to my knowledge are working mills.
