Welcome to the Manor House Stables!

Welcome to our stables which we lovingly restored using natural eco-friendly materials and traditional methods to create a beautiful space for the Hayloft and Bothy, full of special features such as exposed beams and lime-washed walls. Situated in the village of Martin, located centrally within the county of Lincolnshire, just 4 miles from the historic town of Woodhall Spa with its restaurants, cinema, golf courses and aviation history, less than half an hour to Lincoln with its castle, cathedral and museums and just one hour’s drive through the beautiful Wolds to the coast. Big skies, lots of stars, loads of walks and plenty of space to cycle make this county a very special one!

What makes your stay Special

The accommodation is really special, but so are all the little extras! Please read all about it in your Welcome Book – an album of information I have put together full of all kinds of information about your stay here – from guiding you around your accommodation to recommending local places to eat and leading you around the County in search of the interesting and the unusual.

Your Hamper and other things

You’ll find a hamper full of locally-sourced goodies including jam, chocolates, Lincolnshire plum bread and wine.  There are also milk and butter in the fridge and coffee, tea and sugar all for your use – we want to make your stay a special as possible! In the summer you will be treated to some freshly harvested vegetables from our garden or some fruit from our trees in the autumn. The luxury toiletries in the bathroom are made from natural ingredients, and other toiletries like the shampoo and bubble bath are organic and made by Faith in Nature. Cleaning products vary but are always purchased from environmentally-aware companies.

Booking your stay in the Hayloft or Bothy

It’s easy to use our Online Booking System – just go through to our booking page for the Bothy or the Hayloft where you can choose either accommodation from the separate drop-down menu. Your stay can start on any day of the week but we do ask for a minimum of 3 nights. If you can’t stay for 3 nights, why not stay for just 2 nights but stay all day after your second night before heading home. This is great as it means you don’t have to get up early on your day of departure!  Or of  course you could stay for 7 days or more!  At Christmas we also ask for stays of no less than 7 nights and over New Year’s the minimum is 4 nights.

Bringing your Dog with you

The great news is that now you can bring your dogs (maximum of two medium sized dogs) on holiday with you too (at a small additional charge to cover extra cleaning charges). This now applies to both the Bothy and the Hayloft.

What’s included in the Price (and what’s not)

Most everything is provided for your stay and included in the price – linen, towels, bathrobes, useful items like paper towel, toilet paper, dish washing liquid and plenty of logs for the wood-burning stove. You’ll be delighted with your hamper of goodies, your  toiletries and other little luxuries.

The prices you’ll see on our booking system are based on two people making use of the double bedroom.  If you also use the box beds as well, we do now charge a small ‘linen fee’ (to cover the cost of the extra laundry and ironing) – please see online booking system for more detail. In addition, we also charge a small one-time fee for your dogs), again for the extra cleaning after they’ve left) – please add this on when you are booking your stay.  We also have an EV charge point available for those with electric cars and this is charged at cost.

Discounts

The Hayloft and Bothy can be booked together for yourself and your family and is ideal for 2 family groups (2 adults and 2 children in the Hayloft, 2 adults and 1 child in the Bothy). The two accommodations are separate from each other but can be connected by opening the doors to a normally closed internal staircase. We are pleased to offer a 5% discount if both the Hayloft and Bothy are booked together.

Celebrate something special at the Manor House Stables

Come and celebrate your special occasion. If you let us know beforehand, we can purchase extra flowers, a bottle of champagne or whatever you’d like to surprise your loved one with.  (These extra costs are payable once you’ve arrived).

Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers are available for you to purchase for your friends & family.  Purchase a Voucher and it will be personally designed for you in a card showing your chosen accommodation and a message of your choice.  Please contact us for more information.

Christmas at the Manor House Stables

From the first weekend in December the Bothy and Hayloft are decorated for Christmas.  Trees decorated with festive lights and smelling beautifully of oranges, apples and cinnamon adorn both accommodations.  Light the wood-burning stove, pour yourself a glass of mulled wine and enjoy the spirit of Christmas!
